Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms govern your use of APIMock, including the website, dashboard, mock endpoints, Data API and MCP server. They are written to be read, so please do.
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using APIMock, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use APIMock on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
APIMock lets you create mock HTTP endpoints, stateful Data API collections, fault rules and related tooling, including an MCP server for AI assistants. It is meant for development, testing and demos, not for serving production traffic or storing data you cannot afford to lose. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
3. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old and give accurate sign-up information. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including activity through personal access tokens you create. Keep your password and tokens secret, and tell us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
Workspace owners and admins control who can access a workspace and are responsible for the members they invite.
4. Free tier and limits
APIMock is free. Fair-use limits apply, currently including a monthly request quota per workspace, a cap on the number of workspaces, and 7 days of request history. The current limits are listed on the pricing page. We may change them, and requests over a limit may be rejected. Optional tips do not unlock features or create any service obligation.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into APIMock: endpoint definitions, response bodies, collections, records, specs and the like. You give us permission to host, copy, process and serve that content only as needed to run the service for you and the people you share it with.
Mock endpoints are reachable on the public internet by anyone who knows the URL unless you enable endpoint authentication. Do not put real personal data, secrets, or confidential production data in your mocks.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use APIMock to:
- break the law or infringe anyone else's rights;
- host malware, phishing pages, or content that impersonates another person or service;
- send spam, or serve as infrastructure for attacks on other systems;
- probe, overload or disrupt APIMock, or get around its limits, authentication or workspace isolation;
- store or serve sensitive personal data such as payment card or health data;
- resell the service or use it to run a production backend.
If you find a security issue, report it privately to [email protected] instead of testing it against other users.
7. Suspension and termination
You can stop using APIMock and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or remove accounts, workspaces or endpoints that break these terms, put the service or others at risk, or have been inactive for a long period. Where reasonable we will warn you first. Once an account is deleted, its data is gone and cannot be recovered.
8. No warranty
APIMock is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, APIMock and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
10. Indemnity
You agree to cover claims, losses and reasonable costs brought against APIMock by third parties that arise from your content or from your breach of these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will notify account holders by email. Continuing to use APIMock after changes take effect means you accept them.
